Can you provide a bit of background on your role at SpecTec Cruise?
As a senior technical product specialist, I focus on the maintenance, design, development and testing of our software. This role covers our flagship software, AMOS, along with customized interfaces to third party systems. My degree in software engineering is supporting my current role to deliver reliable solutions and cover our customer’s needs.
What do you get up to in a normal working day?
A normal day can be working with our professional services and customer care team to analyze and tackle a software bug or working on the design and development to a new supporting software. I’m also often designing Reports, Dashboards and KPIs using our analysis and reporting tool, AMOS Data Surface, which can interrogate big data sets, apply advanced analytics and present fleet data in a simple and consumable format.

What’s do you view as the most important trend in the cruise technology industry?
The cloud services are already a standard feature of software environments and I’m happy to see our cruise customers migrating their AMOS IT infrastructure to cloud providers such as AWS and Azure.
What do you get up to in your spare time?
Family time with my husband, our baby girl and dog. We usually spend a day at the beach, enjoy a walk around Wynwood or visit the Miami Zoo.
